Now, this ethos expands to the high seas with a luxury motor yacht, promising privacy and unparalleled amenities that redefine what it’s like to go on a cruise.
Aman At Sea seeks to simultaneously re-shape the cruise line industry and spearhead a new era in pampered travel. The motor yacht is a joint venture with Cruise Saudi, and was designed by the world-renowned Netherlands based, SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design. Both its design and amenities embody the Aman spirit, promising privacy, peace – and a level of service previously unavailable in the mass cruise industry. T. Mariotti, renowned constructors of ultraluxury cruise, superyachts in Italy since 1928, has been appointed to deliver this first-of-its-kind vessel, which will be designed to mirror the level of detail and care experienced by guests in Aman’s hotels and branded residences.
On July 11th, 2024, Jonathan Wilson, CEO of Aman at Sea, Lars Clasen, CEO of Cruise Saudi and Marco Ghiglione, CEO of T. Mariotti, lowered the first 200-ton steel block for the new motor yacht. A longstanding maritime tradition, representatives also placed newly minted coins on the steel to bestow good luck on the vessel during both construction and future sailings.

At only 600ft long and 23,000 gross tons, it is a relatively small vessel, contrasting with today’s mega cruise ships which aim to house as many passengers as possible. The superyacht has just 50 spacious luxury suites, each with its own private balcony. Aman at Sea will offer a level of premium service, unmatched by standard cruise ships, with a planned two staff members per guest. It will be the first dual-powered ship of its kind built to run on a combination of marine diesel oil and methanol, which reflects Aman Group’s commitment to sustainability, simultaneously offering a one-of-a-kind luxury experience on the water. The dual power system releases fewer carbon emissions than traditional cruise ships, mirroring the company’s green philosophy.
What will the interior look like? According to reports it will be a fusion of minimalist chic and Eastern mystique, offering open views, clear sight lines, expansive exterior decks and space for swimming and outdoor enjoyment. SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design is renowned for its impeccable interior and exterior design, with furniture and styling which present the yacht as a total work of art. Each detail of the layout and space will be skillfully crafted and shaped while incorporating technical innovation. Rare woods and veneers will be integrated with the finest fabrics, leathers, and bespoke metals and glass, combined with custom-built interiors and furniture.
Passengers will have an array of dining options, including an informal all-day restaurant, international dining choices, and a relaxed club and lounge. There will also be a serene and spacious Aman Spa with a Japanese garden, offering passengers Aman’s world-renowned transformative spa experiences and branded luxury spa products combined with cutting edge wellness science for pampered and relaxed well-being whilst at sea.
Other first-class amenities include two helipads to take passengers on airborne adventures to various destinations, plus an expansive Beach Club, which will offer guests direct access to the water at the stern of the yacht.
